I’ve been thinking, as well as my match reports I should start offering regular opinions on X factor episodes, so here’s what I thought this week:
The one that stuck in my mind was another, what I like to call, ‘returnee’. They get turned down for whatever reason at some stage in a previous series and then decide it’s a good idea to come back and try again. I admire their determination but sometimes they really should just learn when to give up. This one, didn’t even bother to learn his name – and when I tried to find it on Google for the purpose of this blog all I could think to type was ‘x factor stupid hat too much make up’ surprisingly it returned no results.
So the returnee actually did a remarkable audition. Last year he was turned away at the judges’ houses but this year his initial audition showed he had immense vocal talent and a massive range. But I had one huge gripe; he’s not a great looking boy (that’s not my gripe). Last year he had awful acne (that’s not my gripe either). This year he was caked in makeup – that’s my gripe. He also had a stupid hat on, but so did Olly Murs and I like him. This make-up annoyed me so much, it was basically him saying yeaa I was too ugly last year but now I’ve covered that up I’ll show how good I am. He might as well have gone with a paper bag on his head. If you’re a friends fan you’ll know what I mean when I say he’s smelly cat – and for that reason, I think his attitude stinks.
