Well this post has the potential to sound a bit seedy, so I’ll be sure to set out straight at the beginning that it was far from that. It was a very classy affair in fact.

A few Saturdays ago we had the ultimate lads night – literally what lads night are made of ‘If Carlsberg made lads nights’ and all that. The 235 casino in Manchester.. (yup casino – great for a lads night) relaunched as a Playboy casino (wow – ultimate lads night there we go). Me and the lads went to the launch and it was one awesome night.

We started early with everyone jumping into my mate’s Renault Megane (what a car, by the way!) to head down to the casino’s restaurant ‘Linen’. The menu was Playboy themed which was pretty cool and then we moved onto the casino – the 235 casino already has an awesome cocktail bar, so we sampled some Disarono Sours before heading to the tables, where the croupiers were playboy bunny girls. Dressed exactly like you see on the bunnies of the playboy mansion programme (not that I’ve ever seen it!!). Then a bit later a jazz band, followed by a DJ, before we all got back in the Megane and headed home. A truly mega night out!

It was great to have a fun evening with the lads of course, it always is – but I have to say, the addition of the Bunnies made it all that bit better. The owners of 235 must be laughing, I’m sure the majority of their punters are usually men, and now they’re going to be getting twice as many. One of my mates, who doesn’t usually come out (he’s totally under the thumb of his psycho wife) got chatting to one of the friendlier Bunnies. He must have spent a fortune on drinks for her. Silly bloke – she was probably told to do that – he didn’t even get her number at the end. Me, I just enjoyed looking .
