New Setup

I’ve got a brand new set up in what I like to call the ‘games room’ it’s awesome. It’s mainly for watching the game on, but it’s also awesome for when the kids play those video games – you can actually see what you’re doing now. Plus of course you can watch standard TV and HD movies on it too – so basically it’s immense and you should all be jealous – or get one!

What it is is, in fact, a projector – yea I know what you’re thinking and I was dubious at first, but seriously I’d never go back. The picture quality is amazing and although it’s costly, once you’ve got the device nothing should go wrong except the bulb will run out after 300 hours – but that’s a lot of games so I’m not worried yet. It works out cheaper than a TV and the size of screen is entirely up to you. I’m lucky because in my games room there’s enough room that I just project it onto the blank wall, but you can buy screens of any size if you need them.

I’ve also hooked up a brand new Bose amp and speaker system so it’s got full, high-quality surround sound. You just hook up laptop, free-view, Sky box, DVD/Blue ray player the same way you would with a TV. With my four lazy boys, mini fridge and telephone with dominos set up on speed dial, my house is now the official venue for showings of all Premier League matches this season. And maybe the X factor final too haha.
